Pro Kabaddi League Match Preview: Patna's strong defence may spell doom for Puneri Paltan in third Eliminator
Defending champions Patna Pirates is all set to take on Eliminator-1 winner Puneri Paltan who recently registered an impressive victory against UP Yodha. Both teams will clash against each other at the NSCI Stadium, Mumbai on Tuesday in the third Eliminator round of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League season 5.

In the last match, team Patna had shown an outstanding performance against Haryana Steelers defeating them 69-30 in the second Eliminator round. Patna's skipper Pardeep Narwal deserves a special mention for leading his team from the front and scoring 34 raid points.

With his excellent raiding skills, Pradeep has scored a total of 308 raid points so far, the most by any raider in this season of PKL. The captain has also made a new record in season-5 as he has now become the most successful and highest scoring raider in the history of Pro Kabaddi League.

He would have definitely created a feeling of anxiety in the opposition team who would be making a strong plan to counter him in the upcoming match.

But, the excellence is not only about Pradeep as other players of Patna Pirates such as raider Monu Goyat, defender Jaideep, all rounders Arvind Kumar and Jawahar Dagar among others have also shown brilliant performances throughout the season, especially Goyat who made a wonderful start in the previous match and helped his team take a 4-1 lead in the second minute.

On the other hand, Puneri Paltan also showed a masterful all-round performance last night with skipper Deepak Hooda picking up 10 raid points and leading his team to a massive win
against UP Yodha. He was well supported by his team mate Rajesh Mondal who played a key role in
the team's victory.

But, the team needs to improve their defence which seems a weak department in comparison to their
rival team Patna Pirates whose raiders are capable enough to take advantage of Pune's weakness.

Overall, the advantage lies in the hands of Patna Pirates as the team has the experience of Pradeep Narwal, who has been quite impressive so far and can single-handedly take the match away from the opposition with his spectacular raiding.
