The director of University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit has been caught in the middle of a media storm.  Professor Phil Jones, who is famous among the scientific community for refining the instrument temperature record, also played a significant role in the 2001 IPCC Third Assessment Report Summary for Policymakers.
