PSSP condemns power curbing of armed forces
The members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parisad (PSSP), Jamshedpur have criticised the amendments in the Armed Forces Special Powers Act saying that the amendments curb the rights of officers of armed forces.
MEMBERS OF Poorva Sainik Seva Parisad, Jamshedpur have criticised the amendments in the Armed Forces Special Powers Act. The amendments curb the rights of officers of armed forces. At a time when terrorism is growing, such amendments would only hamper their efforts to curb terrorist acts; it would also affect the motivation of the armed forces, they said.
They demanded that the matter should be discussed in the parliament. They said that the PSSP would make plans for demonstrations if the amendments are not retracted.
