PVR Nest celebrates 'Saare Zameen Par'
PVR Nest, the CSR arm and registered foundation of PVR Ltd., celebrated a day-long event 'Saare Zameen Par' at India Habitat Center, Lodhi Road, New Delhi to mark the culmination of offline event of Road Safety campaign.

Organised in collaboration with Protsahan India Foundation, PVR Nest celebrated the culmination of offline activities on road safety campaigns with schools, nonprofit organizations and colleges across Delhi/NCR. It witnessed active participation by 5th and 6th grade students in creative activities like Art Attack, GameChanger Battle Cards, Natak Mandali and many more.

On the occasion, Ms Deepa Menon, VP- CSR & Corporate Communication, PVR Ltd said: “We at PVR Nest are extremely happy to witness participation by various schools, non-profit organizations and colleges across Delhi/ NCR at such a massive level. This long initiative on Road Safety was an endeavour towards the   alarming situation on road accidents. It needed immediate attention and therefore we decided to come forward with the campaign to educate people/ children on the importance of Road safety though a series of such creative events. Today, we mark the end of this initiative and assure that PVR Nest will keep coming up with such endeavours for further enhancement of the society.”

Ms. Sonal Kapoor, CEO- Protsahan India Foundation also praised the program and said, “Protsahan is a youth-based international non-profit organization that uses the innovative approaches of design, art, stories, photography, theatre and cinema to herald sustainable social change. Our partnership with PVR NEST for Cineart 2012-13 has been an exciting journey of bringing change by sensitizing young minds on the issue of road safety through innovative educating platforms and not mere textbook theory. It’s good to work with a CSR partner that cares."

The event was organised in association with French Embassy and other partners like Michelin Tyres, Tata Jaguar, Bajaj and Total. It witnessed an interesting display of creative art works by children at various events organized by PVR Nest throughout the long-term program.

People, Ideas and Actions are the integral strengths and voice of PVR Nest, the corporate social program of PVR Ltd for children and environment. Over the last seven years, PVR Nest has established sustained and focused programs for over 500 children through community education, learning, integrating and supporting children through healthcare, daily nutrition, rehabilitation and creating employability.

CineArt is a flagship program of PVR Nest, an attempt to bring children and youth closer to social and environmental issues through mediums of Cinema and Art. This program has received the highest accolades from Aaj Tak Care Awards 2012 and Global Green Awards, London 2010. Throughout the last four years of its implementation, CineArt has been able to reach out to over 500 schools (NGO/ Community/ Public and Private) and 200,000 children and has trained over 2000 children on film-making.
