Rabri back to kitchen, Lalu in a new avatar
All this was made clear, a couple of days ago over seat sharing formula between Lalu and Lok Janashakti Party Supremo Ram Vilas Paswan, when the latter projected Lalu the next CM of Bihar saying his brother Pashupatinath Paras will be Deputy CM.
THE FORTHCOMING assembly election in Bihar is not going to be an election where ex-Chief Minister Rabri Devi will appeal to the electorate of the state to vote in her favour. Instead, she will look after her kitchen this time, while the Rashtriya Janata Dal president and husband of Rabri Devi, Lalu Prasad Yadav will seek votes to become the next chief minister of the state. The move to sideline Rabri has baffled everyone in the state in general and in particular the ruling party.

All this was became clear, a couple of days ago over the seat sharing formula between Lalu and Lok Janashakti Party Supremo Ram Vilas Paswan, when the latter projected Lalu the next Chief Minister of Bihar saying his younger brother Pashupatinath Paras will hold the key of Deputy Chief Minister. The euphoria about this is gaining momentum in RJD-LJP combine and Lalu is more cautious over his hyperbolic style to woo the upper caste voters, who once parted way with Lalu over his Bhura Baal Saaf Karo remarks.

Sources in state Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party say that Lalu has deliberately pushed Rabri back from public space as he wanted to make a comeback in Bihar.

Sources even say that this time Lalu does not even want Rabri to deliver speeches from a public platform as she is prone to make controversial statements.

But state RJD spokesmen Chotu Singh contradicting opposition’s claim said that Rabri Devi will accompany Lalu during election campaigning. He said that the ruling party has lost its confidence among people due to corruption in the state and it feared that Lalu will become the next CM of Bihar as people of all upper castes are ready to cast their votes in favour of Lalu.

It is a not long forgotten truth that on several occasions Rabri Devi called Langda Bilaar (lame cat), the then Governor of Bihar, Sundar Singh Bhandari. In 2009 Parliamentary election Rabri upset everyone while calling CM Nitish Kumar and state JD-U president Lallan Singh jeeja-saala due to their close proximity. Irked over this, Lallan Singh sued Rabri and she had to face legal action.
