Race 2 and Akash Vani to clash at box office on January 25

Both Race 2 and Akash Vani have one thing in common. Apart from the fact that they are to be released on the same day (25 January), they also had huge success associated with their makers in their previous films. While Abbas Mustan's Race was a cult movie of its time, Akash Vani is coming from the makers of the surprise successful filmmaker of Pyaar Ka Panchnama.

This Friday, the battle will be between the two films at the box office. While Abbas Mustan's big budget action film Race 2 is releasing on Friday, there is Akash Vani too for romantic couples. Akash Vani was supposed to be released on January 18 along with Inkaar. However, the producer and director Luv Rajan decided to release it on the same day as Race 2.

While Race 2 has a top class line of actors, which includes Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel; Akash Vani will cast the popular Pyar Ka Punchnama couple Kartik Tiwari and Nusrat Bharucha. Both the films are very different in content but who will win the battle at the box office is the real question. Race 2 has a huge star line as well as a very successful prequel, which will no doubt benefit it but we did see a very surprisingly successful film in Pyaar Ka Panchnama.

Another film, Main Krishna Hoon is also releasing on 25th January and Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan as well as Katrina Kaif are a part of the film. The children's genre film sees both animation and real life characters on the big screen.
