Rahul Gandhi has no moral right to pay homage to YSR: YSRCP
YSR Congress Party has said that AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi has no moral right to pay homage to YSR as the Party has worked in tandem with TDP in harassing his family members by registering false cases against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma today lamented that Rahul Gandhi's visit to Andhra Pradesh to console the family of farmers, who committed suicide, is ridiculous as Congress has worked hand in glovewith TDP right from the death of YSR till the division of the state and even after.

She accused that the Congress has played a crucial role in the division of the State and helped out TDP on many aspects, including transfer of votes in the general elections and now the Congress leader's action of coming to the State to console the farmer suicides is ridiculous, she said.

"When YSR family members sought permission to carry out the Odarpu Yatra, it was denied and they were insulted by the high command and when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came out of the Party he and his family members were harassed and false cases were foisted. This apart the high command has seen to it that the name of YSR was included in the FIR. How can such a party pay homage to YSR now," she added.

She also stated that Congress had announced Rs 1 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of those who died of shock on hearing the sad demise of YSR, but nothing was given so far. After Congress drew a blank in the election now Rahul Gandhi trying to invoke YSR, which is a shameful act, she said.

Meanwhile, the SC Cell of YSR Congress will stage a dharna at all the Collector offices in the State on July 24 to protest against the TDP policies affecting the weaker sections.

Party SC Cell President M Nagarjuna said that they will stage a dharna at all the Collector offices on Friday and submit a memorandum to the district collectors on the GO no 23 sec (d).

He deplored that the TDP government has been ignoring the interests of dalits and tribals and the sub-plan amount is not being allotted and spent as per the constitution.
