The protests come after Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray asked the Sainiks to show him black flags to protest his 'Mumbai for all Indians' remark Earlier, Rahul Gandhi arrived in Mumbai amidst tight security after it became clear that there could be a showdown between Congress and Shiv Sena workers, who clearly want to take on the Congress leader sensing an opportunity for a political tussle.
Earlier in the day, Shiv Sena corporator Rajul Patel was detained by police when he tried to enter the Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle without an invitation.
