CREDITED WITH the resurgence of Congress in Uttar Pradesh, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi turned 39 on Friday (June 19). Gandhi will be celebrating his birthday in London today, with some college and old family friends, sources said.
Congress, meanwhile, has decided to celebrate his birthday as 'Samrasta divas'. The party is also organising a 'Sahboj' to mark the birthday of Gandhi scion, who has been instrumental in bringing the party to power in the General Elections.
However, the party has refrained from any gala celebrations and party workers have been asked to maintain a low key on the occasion. Despite the instructions, party sources said it would be difficult to restrain the workers from gathering at the party headquarter and celebrating the occasion.
Born on June 19, 1970, Rahul Gandhi is touted as the future Prime Minister of the country. The Congress general secretary, has however, preferred to remain outside the domain of the government and recently refused to join the Union cabinet, despite a request by PM Dr Manmohan Singh.
.The man son of Sonia Manio (Gandhi), Indian Congress party head, one Raul (Surely not Rahul) celebrated his 39th birth day in London. It is not clear the family is orthodox Hindoo or Roman Catholic. Sonia Manio is a Roman Catholic, so his son should be in the same religion.
I think, they are cleverly hiding the truth and making fool of poor and poverty sticken 98% Indian
.Whats the use of informging people of Rahul Gandhi's birthday? He has not done anything remarkable apart from reviving the Congress and that too again by the virtue of him being Gandhi. I sometime wonder if Rahul Gandhi would have been ugly, and the surname Gandhi is removed from his name then what would happen?? All the glare from Media, his being hyped as Youth icon would no longer exist..He is simply lucky...and than their are some greasing journalists keep writting about him...same old story of feudalistic mentality..Media no more remain UNBIASED!!
Don't call him Gandhi assuming some link with the man hyped as father of the nation. Rahul can claim to be a Nehru scion because of the lack of male progeny of the 'Chacha' Nehru. But, the only connection this man of straw has with the real Gandhi is that MKG connived with Nehru to usurp the British colony and establish his own dynasty! They even usurped his surname! Moreover, being ugly or not is an irrelelevant parameter to measure a person's worth.
.Rahul Gandhi is birthday is not so important. He is neither a saviour or any great person . He is just a show , a pomp, a corrupt and a fanatic of power. So who is interested in anyway? Atleast I am not
Don't be uncharitable to the Nehru dynasty brat saying that he is corrupt and fanatic of power! There have been corrupt fanatics in the world in the past, who have contributed immensely to society. Rahul is just a nobody projected by corrupt tycoons of the so-called freedom fighter party.
