Rahul Gandhi's Coca-Cola, McDonald's bloopers at Congress' OBC convention
While delivering a speech at Congress party's national convention of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on Monday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi again committed a handful of comic blunders.

His bloopers included presenting strange anomalies like how the founder of aerated drink Coca-Cola used to sell 'shikanji' (lemonade) in America while the founder of fast-food chain McDonald's used to run a 'dhaba'. As expected, the Congress President was not only trolled on social media for his delusive speech, but various articles were also published to set the facts straight and prove how Rahul Gandhi lacked even basic knowledge.

The Congress President further went on to say that the founders of world renowned international automobile brands 'Ford, Mercedes and Honda' had been mechanics in the early part of their lives. I'm not interested in doing a fact check to prove that all this information is factually incorrect. Instead, I shall touch upon his moot point and raise some questions.

According to Rahul Gandhi in India there is no dearth of skills in the OBC community but there is lack of government support.

He also promised that he will give the OBC community its 'due share' because the people of the community are highly skilled andonly need support from the government.

Rahul Gandhi blamed the Modi government and the RSS by saying, "'Our dhabawallahs or mechanics' do not lack knowledge but doors of banks and politics are shut for our 'dhabawallahs', 'mechanics', 'dhobis' and other backwards'."

Ignoring the gaffes that Coca-Cola founder was a lemonade seller or Ford founder was a mechanic, I hundred per cent agree with the fact that Indians are blessed with skills in abundance and they need government support to utilise those skills. But the question is why is the Gandhi scion blaming the four-year-old Modi government for showing apathy towards OBCs? What has the Congress party done for them in more than six decades of its rule in India since independence?

Yes, in the last four years no significant improvement has been achieved, but then, at least one can gauge how work is under progress. Such initiatives give results only in the long-term.

The point is that even if you make some blunders during your speech and end up spreading misinformation, people might still ignore you bloopers, if the moot message being sent across by you has some merit in it. But here Rahul Gandhi's message is self-exposing and only authenticates Congress party's misrule of over six-decades in the country.

Strange are the times in our country where life has nothing but lemons to offer along with Rahul Gandhi as PM aspirant for general elections 2019! Surely a raw deal for the common Indian.
