What's come as a side-effect or rather matrimony spoiler is bikini clad photos of Dimpy on the net. Well! not her problem, she was just a newcomer trying her luck in modelling and perhaps never anticipated landing up in a marriage so soon!
Rahul Mahajan Swayamvar winner Dimpy Ganguly's bikini clad pics have emerged on the net. The Gladrags model who violated her modeling contract with Murine Wadia to marry Rahul Mahajan on a reality show remains unscathed despite the revealing pictures of hers on Gladrags web page.
Whether or not Rahul Mahajan's well-known conservative family has given its okay to her modeling career and glamorous image is yet to be known. However, it seems that Mahajan is not in a mood at all to pay attention to any controversy.
"All the bad times are a thing of the past and I am not going to let my past affect my present. I am ready to settle down in life and finally be happy. I have gone through a lot and now it is my time," said Mahajan post his marriage.
After the wedding, Rahul is ready to explore showbiz. "Politics is in my blood but entertainment is my livelihood. You don't get paid that much as an MP. Showbiz is a huge business and I am looking forward to exploring it. Be it TV or films. Moreover it has a mass appeal and gives me an opportunity to get connected with people," said Rahul, who has appeared in reality TV shows like Bigg Boss 2 and Chotte Miyan. Rahul Mahajan, slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son finally ended all speculations about his marriage when he chose Kolkata based model Dimpy Ganguly as his wife on-air Saturday. The 21-year-old Gladrags model appeared emotional and teary eyed as she took vows with Rahul live on TV-- even as parents of other two contenders Nikunj and Harpreet made a quiet exit. The drama and hype around Rahul Mahajan's Swayamvar was building right from the time the channel announced his decision to marry through an open 'Swayamvar' -- something on the lines of 'The Bachelor' (only if you could see Rahul Mahajan as India's answer to Bachelor Jake picking Vienna Girardi in the end!) Dimpy's selection in the end came as a surprise to most viewers who were anticipating 'mature' and 'apparently more sobre' bride contenders Nikunj and Harpreet to win in the end. Ironically, the slew of reality shows on TV has uncovered celebrities like never before--even going to the extremes of picking a life-partner through a contest-sort of event. The show was even criticised by the Women's Commission head Girija Vyas on charges that the show "denigrates the social value of a woman' and portrays women like a commodity. But keeping those issues aside, Rahul Mahajan's Swayambar was truly a delight for the common man who only gets to see glimpses of a celebrity marriage in next days newspapers. Watching a celebrity getting married live on TV is unmatched TRP for sure. Dimpy Ganguly - A model who loses her Gladrags contract because of Rahul Mahajan Gladrags head Muarine Wadia clearly stated on a news channel on Friday that Dimpy Ganguly, who is a small-time beginner model with her agency will loose her contract as she gets married. Sacrificing one's career for marriage has never been tough for famously sacrificial Indian women--we all know. But what's come as a side-effect or rather matrimony spoiler is bikini clad photos of Dimpy on the net. Well! not her problem, she was just a newcomer trying her luck in modeling and perhaps never anticipated landing up in a marriage with a famous politician's son! Rahul Mahajan's Sketchy past (Drug abuse, wife beater?) Perhaps Rahul Mahajan wont have many reasons to complain about Dimpy's unknown-till-date-and-suddenly-famous photos that have emerged on the net.Since Mahajan himself has a rather sketchy past behind him. An ongoing drug case, a bitter divorce left behind and HC permission to go abroad for Honeymoon--the brave guy is fighting many battles to secure a perfect-looking matrimony picture to the world in midst of a chaotic and rather dirty traces available in the form of articles and pictures on the internet. Well! as they say, all is well that ends well. But then, there's another saying that real life has no happy ending. It's yet to be seen how well Mahajan will go on with his new bride, marriage and a political career that he sees in future.
Shweta: "Rahul wanted to remarry me on the show!" Rahul Mahajan's first wife Shweta told a news agency that her ex-husband wanted her to appear on the reality show. "but I obviously refused! Firstly, I feel these reality shows are scripted and fake. Marriages are made in heaven and not on reality shows! Secondly, if I wanted to be a part of his life, why would I have gone in for a divorce?”
On subject that Rahul Mahajan did the reality show in return for hefty moolah, Shweta says, “You know quite a lot, so why are you asking me?”
Marriages are made in heaven, in reality shows too--that's not a problem at all.
But a popular advice to Mr Mahajan is simply this "live the promise" and of course all hope, media fodder is not something that Rahul Mahajan would like to provide free anymore!
