Meanwhile, a recently conducted survey by a national news website shows that 46% of Indian citizens prefer Rahul Gandhi over Manmohan Singh as the country’s PM. According to the respondents Rahul would be a better premier. Manmohan Singh was supported by only 34% voters. The survey was conducted from June 12-16 and covered all regions of the country. Also, during the survey 61% of respondents demanded a change in government at the centre. Mainly the urban youth population demanded change in government. Nevertheless, Gujarat CM Narendra Modi was the most favored PM candidate with 53% votes against Gandhi, who was supported by 46%.
