Railway Recruitment 2018: Know how to apply for over 26,000 vacancies including Assistant Loco Pilot!
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) of the Indian Railways in inviting applications for over 26,000 vacancies including for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician Grade III. Interested candidates may apply on the board's official website www.indianrailways.gov.in from February 3, 2018, 10 am onwards till March 5, 2018, 11.59 pm.

The minimum qualification for applying is matriculation/SSLC with ITI/diploma in engineering. The candidates applying for the vacancies must be between the age group of 18 to 28 years. However, there is relaxation in age limit for candidates of reserved categories. For OBCs the age relaxation in 3 years while for SC/ST candidates it is five years.

According to news reports, the candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Computer Based Test (CBT) that will be conducted in two stages, an aptitude test and document verification. The date, time and venue for all three steps will be fixed by RRBs and intimated to the candidates.

There are a total of 21 RRBs including those at Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Bilaspur, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Gorakhpur, Jammu & Kashmir, Kolkata, Malda, Muzzafarpur, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Siliguri, Secunderabad and Thiruvanthapuram.

All the RRBs will publish an updated vacancy list on their respective websites after completion of the first stage of CBT.

Here's how to apply:

1. Visit the official website www.indianrailways.gov.in

2. Select the relevant RRB zone.

3. Click on "Apply for CEN 01/2018".

4. Fill in the relevant details and upload a scanned copy of your signature and latest photograph.

5. Pay the required application fee.
