AFTER REMAINING resolute on her decision not to succumb to the diktats of the Delhi Durbar for a long time, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has made up her mind to resign as leader of Opposition, if political grapevine is to be believed.

It is likely that Raje will resign on Monday (August 31) but before that she is likely to ask for an honourable route for exit. This will mean that the former Rajasthan Chief Minister will demand some benefits for herself as well as reinstatement of two MLAs, who were suspended for supporting her.

The former Rajasthan Chief Minister is scheduled to meet senior Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders on Monday to decide upon the future course of action. Raje, sources said could be adjusted in the Central party leadership and might be given a role in the organisation.

Pertinent to mention that BJP high command had set Monday as deadline for Raje to quit as leader of Opposition in Rajasthan assembly. Party chief Rajnath Singh had asked her to take responsibility for the Lok Sabha debacle suffered by party in Rajasthan and quit.
