Rajesh Khanna stops taking food

The thin frail actor and yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna is not well, and as per latest reports, has stopped taking food. His separated wife Dimple Kapadia is by his side and so are his friends and doctor.

RAJESH KHANNA, who gave us memorable films is not well. His health, which has been on the down side for quite some time now, has deteriorated. Khanna who is 70 years old, was admitted to the hospital in April but he recovered and was bought home. Now, according to his manager, he has stopped taking food and this has worsened his condition. Although his estranged wife Dimple Kapadia is tending to his health diligently, the man is not doing well at all.

Known for his roles in films such as Bawarchi, Aaradhna and Raaz, Rajesh Khanna was been the reigning superstar of Bollywood of yesteryears. His condition is worsening, and as reported in The Times of India website, a close friend said, “He is hardly eating. People around him are pushing him to eat. He has gone extremely weak. Doctors are attending to him every day.” His well wishers as well as his doctors are asking him to have his food but he is not complying.

The man is a shadow of himself but at this age, he was ready to take up challenge as when he was offered a advertisement for Havell's he took up the assignment, and delivered one of his best performances. In these trying times, his separated wife Dimple Kapadia is tending to him. Everyday, she makes it to the actor's bungalow in Carter Road at around 1:30 pm and leaves before 10 pm. His second daughter Rinke Khanna also came down to Mumbai to be with her father. As his elder daughter Twinkle Khanna, married to Akshay Kumar, is expecting her second child, and for her father, she is offering prayers in the gurudwara. His fans and family wish Rajesh Khanna well.
