Rajya Sabha or House of chaos: Let the people elect Upper House members also
It is really pathetic. Sixty bills affecting India's economy, security and well being have to be passed. They directly affect the Aam Adami (common man).

But the leaders of opposition including Congress are hell bent that Rajya Sabha, where the opposition has the majority should not be allowed to function so that the Narendra Modi Government should not get credit of the good policies they want to follow.

Some Sadhvi talking something rude in one of her rallies, some BJP MP calling Nathu Ram Godse as a patriot or some religious conversion taking place somewhere, which is very common happening in India, are being made major issues by these small minded politicians to not allow Rajya Sabha to function.

The bills which have been passed by the Lok Sabha and now have to be passed by the upper house Rajya Sabha to become the law. What damage this will do to the country the opposition is not bothered about.

All they are doing is small time 'Rajneeti' (politics) at the cost of people of India. These old time politicians fail to understand that today India has changed and the people of India can see through the their games.

It is very necessary now that people of India should demand that members of Rajya Sabha should also be directly elected by the people of India, so that these leaders also become answerable to people of india.

Why should these Rajya Sabha MPs who are not directly elected should enjoy the same rights as the elected members of Lok Sabha?
