Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan shine at Filmfare Awards
Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan had a deja vu moment when they bagged the Idea Filmfare award for the second time in a row as best actor and actress, respectively. The 58th Idea Filmfare Awards was every bit of glitz, glamour and entertainment, as it has been all the previous years.
While popular films such as Barfi and Kahaani won the maximum awards, films such as Paan Singh Tomar and Vicky Donor were also applauded. Kahaani not only gave Vidya Balan
the best actress award but Sujoy Ghosh also took home the lady for best director and Best Cinematography, Best Editing as well as Best Sound design. The prestigious lady was taken home by Barfi for best film, best music director and best Actor and the best debut female (Ileana D'Cruz).
Gangs of Wasseypur, Vicky Donor and Paan Singh Tomar were hugely appreciated. Proving that Bollywood is changing, the critics award for the best actor was received by Irrfan Khan
for his film Paan Singh Tomar and Richa Chadda lifted the trophy for being the critics award for best actress.
Anushka Sharma was awarded the Best Supporting actress in her act of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Gauri Shinde made it to the list for being the Best Debut Director for English Vinglish. Yash Chopra received the posthumous Lifetime Achievement award, which was collected by his wife Pamela Chopra and was presented by a Yash Chopra heroine Madhuri Dixit Nene.
