Ranveer Singh pens a heartfelt letter to fans for their overwhelming response on Padmavati's trailer
Minutes after the much awaited trailer of the upcoming period drama Padmavati was released on Monday, it started receiving an overwhelmingly response on various social media platforms.

Besides the royal and ethereal look of Deepika Padukone (Rani Padmavati) and Shahid Kapoor (Maharaja Ratan Singh), actor Ranveer Singh's gloomy look as Alauddin Khilji is being much appreciated by his fans, Bollywood fraternity and even critics too.

Overall, it can be said that the trio have immersed themselves rigorously in their characters and for which, a big credit goes to the make-up artists as well as costume designers who have worked hard over their looks.

Promising all to give a great and unforgettable cinematic experience on December 1, the actor took to his official social media account and wrote an emotional letter in which he thanked his fans, friends, media and the audience for appreciating his performance.

In the letter, the actor wrote: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart, to each and everyone who has been so generous in effusively showering love and appreciation to our trailer. To witness the avalanche of praise across the board is unprecedented and overwhelming it's very rare... and very, very humbling."

"Sanjay Sir, my crazy genius, the master craftsman... has fought, suffered and sacrificed for the film - the success of this trailer is a testament to his sheer tenacity and iron will. What you're seeing is the vision of a deeply passionate artist who has bared his infinite soul on celluloid," Ranveer added in the letter, praising director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's efforts, hard work and his wonderful direction for the film.

Ranveer, who is still shooting for the historic drama, guarantees that whatever is shown in the trailer is just a "fraction of what this film has to offer."

The film will be Bhansali's third project with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone after 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela' (2013) and 'Bajirao Mastani' (2015). However, this is Shahid Kapoor's first project with him.

The film is presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, and is set for a worldwide release on December 1.
