Ranveer Singh and Kabir Khan are all gearing up for their film, '83. The film is based on the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. The director and actor duo were present at the Lords cricket ground accompanied by Sachin Tendulkar.

Kabir Khan posted a selfie on social media with Ranveer and Sachin. He wrote : "Sachin was 9- years-old when he saw on television Kapil's Dev win the World Cup in 1983 right here at this ground. That win inspired him to want to play for India. 35 years later we kick-off the prep for our film 83 at the Lords… Can't get better than this can it? @ranveersingh @sachintendulkar #indiaenglandseries #lords #filmprep."

Ranveer Singh who is doing quite well these days with his past couple of films which had taken the box office by storm is omnipresent on social media and news either for his films or for his rumoured wedding date with Deepika Padukone. In the meanwhile, there are reports that Ranveer has also also been cast by Karan Johar in his upcoming directorial venture, Takht.

The actor is preparing for his film with Kabir Khan which is based on India's win over West Indies in the final of the 1983 cricket World Cup in London. The film will depict Kapil's contribution in the World Cup and how he played the role of a mentor for his team.

According to sources when the film was announced many members of India's 1983 World Cup winning team were invited. It was a trip down memory lane for the players. Krishnamachari Srikkanth who was a hard-hitting batsman in those days shared with the audience how Kapil had boosted the team's confidence by making them believe that they could win the World Cup.

Kabir is has huge expectations from this film as his last film Tubelight had bombed at the box office. Ranveer shared the picture from the cricket ground and wrote: "Rain Rain go away." The actor was dressed in an orange blazer and mustard waist coat. The actor looked quite stunning in the formal attire.
