RECENTY AN evening of Indian Classical Music titled 'Raag Rang' was organised at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi by Spandan Communications & National Students Talent Association, where renowned vocalist Rashmi Agarwal mesmerised the audience with her performance.
On this occasion Virendra Gupta (DG, ICCR) was the Chief Guest. Apart from him Sarit Das (Tabla player), Anshuman Pandey (Director, Spandan Communications), Manmeet Singh Rattan (artistbookings.com), Tejinder Pal Singh (National Students Talent Association), Deepak Gupta (Public Relation Officer) etc. were present there, while Jyoti Ahalwat was the compere for the evening.
Agarwal started the evening in her unique style. She presented various compositions including 'Maula Mere Maula...' and 'Saanchi Kaho Mohe Piya Se...'. On audience request she also presented a Dadra in Banaras style "Humein Na Bhaave Yaari Piya Re, Re Sanwariya, Re Sanwariya..." and was well appreciated by the audience. On this occasion, Anshuman Pandey of Spandan Communications said that we have organised this event to revive the Indian Classical Music amongst the youth. Under this series we'll organise monthly cultural evenings in Delhi NCR.
