Rashtrapati Bhavan hosts a round table discussion on 'Technology, Innovation and Education'
At a roundtable discussion held on 'Technology, Innovation and Education' at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on December 17, the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in his address to participants said that the Indian youth was looking forward to the future, ready to face challenges and truly believing that the world belongs to them.

He was speaking after an interactive session when some of the participants presented ideas to re-enforce the positive impact of technology in education. He expressed optimism that a India of future will emerge out of the 'brilliant young minds' as a 'new India out of its oldest civilization'.

President reminded the participants that India with its large number of universities, colleges, schools and other institutions had now an enviable educational infrastructure with adequate talent or capacity must work to be higher up in the world class rankings.

He expressed hope that the event would provide 'valuable insights at the forum on transforming the education system through technology and innovation would aid India's policymakers and other stakeholders in this regard' since the chosen participants had 'innovated new products to create wealth with their expertise and drive'.

Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google Inc. who was on visit to India, also participated in the the round table discussions among others.
