One primary reason that can be attached to the decline in these numbers can be attributed to the decrease in population of the US who are smokers. Earlier the same, Center for Disease Control had also come up with a report which stated that there has been a gradual decline in the number of smokers in the country especially among the youths, when compared to the yester generations.
Hawaii, in US seems to have figured very low in the list as far as heart diseases are concerned.
With countries like India also suffering from such dangerous diseases, they need to do something to put a check to it, as last year in 2010, it had been said that heart diseases replaced communicable diseases as one of the biggest killer disease in both the rural and urban India, which is an issue to be addressed upon seriously.
If we compare the rate of heart diseases in USA and India with that of Japan, Japanese people are very conscious of their diet and primarily eat lot of seafood, seaweed, green tea which is considered good. Hence, Japanese people have less heart disease. But, in India and US people consume lots of animal meat, which increases the chances of heart disease. In the UK also, it is the heart disease, which is considered to be a serious killer.
