Rathore likely to appeal for suspension of sentence
A petition on his behalf is likely to be filed by his lawyer on Wednesday. Rathore was sentenced to one and a half year imprisonment for molesting the young girl. After the verdict was pronounced, he was immediately arrested and taken to Burail jail.
Former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, who has been sent to the prison after being  convicted in the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case is likely to appeal for suspension of his sentence.
 
 
A petition on his behalf is likely to be filed by his lawyer on Wednesday. Rathore was sentenced to one and a half year imprisonment for molesting the young girl. After the verdict was pronounced, he was immediately arrested and taken to Burail jail.
 
The court, however, directed the jail authorities to provide proper medical facilities to him as he was a heart patient. He was also allowed to get himself medically checked by doctors.
 
The Sessions Court also dismissed his appeal challenging the six month jail termed awarded to him by CBI court last year.
 
Judge Singh allowed the pleas of the CBI and Ruchika''s family for enhancement of Rathore’s sentence.
