The court, however, directed the jail authorities to provide proper medical facilities to him as he was a heart patient. He was also allowed to get himself medically checked by doctors. The Sessions Court also dismissed his appeal challenging the six month jail termed awarded to him by CBI court last year. Judge Singh allowed the pleas of the CBI and Ruchika''s family for enhancement of Rathore’s sentence.
