Real estate developers can focus on quality education sectors

This is a good opportunity for realtor community to do everything to ensure that good quality education with all the basic infrastructure facilities is created, keeping the two words 'affordable education' as the prime objective.

BASED ON a recent survey, there is a huge scope for realtors to enter the education sector including higher education center in a very big way to bridge the gap between demand and supply in the future.

The infrastructure facilities are often questioned whenever education sector is talked about in general. And going by the past and based on a survey expecting huge demand for higher education in the future, the ability of the government to do everything by itself could prove to be a real Herculean task. This is where the realtors can really play a useful lending role to the society by coming out with good models of education landscape.

The survey reports India with a population of around 1.2 billion and over 144 million potential customers for higher education; the country is now ranked amongst the largest markets globally; currently there are around 25,000 colleges and 460 universities.

Hoping the realtor community who is at present mainly concentrating on housing and commercial market segments can do well to take the above as a welcoming opportunity and do everything to ensure that good quality education with all the basic infrastructure facilities is created keeping the two words “affordable education” as the prime objective.
