Reality shows are big bore!
Currently, no new ideas are coming up to the commercial minds of these conceptual directors and producers. These ideas can temporarily help the so-called reality shows run but in the end only those shows can be a hit which are close to reality.

UNTIL NOW, television reality shows may be portrayed as an entertainment source which played a considerable role in de-stressing ourselves. With so many tensions and workload in our daily lives, one can seek these reality-cum-drama shows as a de-stressor or ‘just’ an entertainment funda. But these kind of shows are now fixing new parameters of competing with each others’ skills.

Now, every channel is having two-three reality shows; each competing with each other hard. They have nothing to show something different, despite the involvement of mothers with their children in singing reality shows. Of late, the great minds behind the tremendous success of these reality shows have started a new trend by impressing upon the boring judges to award the contestants with their (judges) souvenirs.

We see Saroj Khan distributing 100-rupee notes and chains in ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’. Then we have Arjun Rampal giving his lucky bracelets to the contestants of ‘Nach Baliye’. Some of the judges even bliss the contestants instead of blessing them.

A great example of this blissing ‘n’ blessing funda is Vaibhavi Merchant in ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’. While Vaibhavi blessed, Karishma gave her famous ‘Teen Taali’ in ‘Nach Baliye.’ Although ‘Nach Baliye’ is not on currently but through all these gestures we can measure the level of competition and can strongly urge the producers of these shows to put an end to them.

Leaving the show or having a verbal debate among the judges also came into frame before the era of souvenirs came but that worked for a few shows until every show followed suit.

We have noticed that currently no new ideas are coming up to the commercial minds of these conceptual directors and producers. These ideas are for a short period which can help the so-called reality shows to run but in the end only those shows can be a hit which can really make the audience believe that they are real.

With most of the audience getting bored with the same trend of reality shows on every channel, the once a big hit concept is going down every season.
