Red alert: Maoists become active in Assam
After causing havoc in the Red Corridor in central, eastern and northern India, Maoists have become operational in some districts in upper and lower Assam.
THE MAOIST terrorists have recently revealed their existence in Assam. They are continuing their trial to rejuvenate them in the state. To show their existence in the state they can create violence. The intelligence agencies of central and as well as state government know about Maoist activities.The Assam Police department has already started their operations against Maoists, said Sankar Baruah, IPS, the Director General of Police, Assam.
The prime minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh as well as home minister P. Chidambaram have termed the threat from Naxals and Maosits as the most grave that the nation faces. There has been controversy about the way it should be handled. While some experts believe that negotiation and talks are the way out others say that tackling Maoists is a pure law and order problem of the respective states where Maoists operate such as Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar.
The report of Maoist getting active in Assam needs to be studied from the route. Why people will resort to such activity. They have bundles of complaints. Media keeps on telling what government asks them to say. They have no guts to speak the truth. As such some of us who value lives of men and woman precious should visit those places meet the people know their woes and write here. Let us know the truth first.Creating hysteria in the name of terrorist must stop immediately.
