Reliance Communications moves up to No. 10 on Nielsen's CIM 2014-15 Survey
Reliance Communications, India's leading information and communications service provider, has moved up the ladder on the top-10 spots of the Nielsen's Corporate Image Monitor (CIM) 2014-15 survey.

Reliance Communications, India's leading information and communications service provider, has moved up the ladder on the top-10 spots of the Nielsen's Corporate Image Monitor (CIM) 2014-15 survey.

The survey measures reputation of the leading companies in the nation and bases itself on parameters such as transparency, demonstration of vision and leadership, financial performance, trust, perceptions of company products and services, and workplace environment.

The survey took 42 companies into consideration and had over 2000 respondents across eight metro cities. Aditya Birla Group retained its top spot, as it has for three years in a row now. Tata Motors secured the second spot, followed by ITC, Axis Bank, and Tata Steel.

While Reliance Communications and Axis Bank found place in the top-20 list in the 2013-14 survey, they bagged the tenth and fourth spot in the latest survey respectively. Apart from Aditya Birla Group, ITC, State Bank of India, and HUL too retained their positions from last year.

While Aditya Birla secured the top spot in areas of vision and leadership, financial performance, and operating style, Tata Steel earned the top place in areas of product and service quality, and workplace management.

ITC bagged the top position in corporate social responsibility. Owing to the growing importance of the sanitation and healthcare education, the stakeholders, investors, and consumers have raised the ante on judging companies on the basis of their CSR activities, says Ajay Macaden, executive director of Nielsen India.
