Resolve to build a society in which every woman is able to achieve her true potential: President Kovind on Durga Puja
"On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja, I extend greetings to my fellow citizens and wish them happiness and prosperity. The festival celebrates the triumph of virtue and destruction of evil," said President of India, Ram Nath Kovind in his released message on the eve of Durga Puja on September 27.

He added, "Durga Puja is also a festival that cherishes the love we feel for daughters in our families. It symbolises feminine energy, empowerment and determination. Let it further our resolve to build a society in which every woman is able to achieve her true potential- and be an equal stakeholder in every avenue of human achievement."

"May this be a moment of blessing for our country and our collective well-being," he wished.

In Jaipur, he Probasi Bengali cultural society (PBCS) is celebrating a grand Durga Puja this year from 25th September to 30th September 2017, at Jai Club Lawns.

Wishing Jaiprites "Happy Durga Puja!", PBCS stated, "The Society has been organizing Durga puja during the autumn navratras since inception with great fervour and gaiety at the Jai Club lawns. The festival conducted in the traditional manner brings the flavour of Bengal to Jaipur."

The massive congregation seen during the festival brings together all the sections of the society the rich, the poor cutting across caste, creed and religion or profession. This is the essence of integration and communal harmony. The festival is well placed in the social calendar of Jaipur, the PBSC release adds.
