Reverse ageing with a space drink
Researchers has developed a space drink which can reverse ageing process. But people in India have to wait as it will take a long time before the drink is introduced here.

IN COMING years, world’s herbal queen Shahnaz Hussain's anti-wrinkle products are likely to change with new space drink. The Utah University researchers have found that a space drink developed by NASA to protect astronauts from radiation has the concoction, known as AS10. It can significantly reduce wrinkles, blemishes and sun damage and reverse the sign of aging in just four months of application.

The trial has been conducted on 180 participants and the researchers took visual photographs, which reveal the condition of the skin below the surface. The experiment was performed in different types of light exposure. After four months of drinking two shots of AS10 a day, it was found that the ultra violet spots were reduced by 30 per cent and wrinkles by 17 percent.

“First, I want to know about its cost. I will definitely like to use it but cost must be reasonable like soft drink,” said Hansika John, a trained beautician.

Mail Online reported that AS10 was developed for astronauts to have some nutritional supplements which can protect them from high levels of radiation that spell damaging effects outside the Earth’s atmosphere. The drink contains a blend of various fruits like cupuacu, acai, acerola, prickly pear and yumberry. These all fruits provide vitamins and photochemical composite known to block the harmful things of rays.

“I think this is not comparable to Shahnaz Hussain products which are purely made of herbals. Space drink contains chemicals products, it may have side effects,” added Ms John.

The new space drink contains other ingredients such as grape, green tea, pomegranate and vegetables. This drink has large quantities of antioxidants to ward off oxidative stress; it will allow the skin to heal naturally and also attach to reactive oxygen species. These all properties neutralize the effects before they cause any damage to skin.

“The product has only been used on 180 participants, they all belong to western regions of world. However, weather, temperature, living standard, country, climate etc. does matter during experiment and analysis. India has to wait before it is introduced here,” concluded Ms John.
