BLACKBERRY MAKER Research In Motion (RIM) introduced the Blackberry Bold 9780 smartphone on Wednesday. The newest addition of Blackberry family, runs with the new Blackberry 6 operating system. This phone has a enhanced interface a fast and powerful WebKit-based browser, communication and multimedia features.
The Bold 9780 comes with 2.4 inch touch screen with 400x360 pixel resolution, 5 mega pixel camera with 2x digital zoom and video recording. It has a standard QWERTY keyboard with an optical trackpad. It includes 512 MB of internal memory, which can be extended up to 32GB. The dimensions of this phone is 109 x 60 x 14mm and weighing 122 grams. It's 1500 mAh battery support up to 6 hours talktime and 17 days standby time on 3G.
The Bold 9780 uses a 624 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. Other features include Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, supports 3G networks and GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging. Additional features in this smart phone include integrated access to BBM (Blackberry Messenger), Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and various instant messaging applications.
Blackberry Bold 9780 will be available in two colors, black and flash White. Canadian phone maker Research In Motion announced this phone is coming to various carriers on November 17 at a price tag of $129.99, with a two-year service agreement.
