RIM launches BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone in India
The maker of BlackBerry handsets, Research In Motion (RIM), has launched the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone with the BlackBerry 7 Operating System (OS) for its Indian customers with a lot of features.
THE CANADIAN based company and the maker of BlackBerry handsets, Research In Motion (RIM) has launched the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone with the BlackBerry 7 Operating System (OS) for its Indian customers on Thursday.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone yet at only 10.5 mm. The handset with a lot of features will be available with a price tag of Rs. 32490 in the stores across the country. Its BlackBerry 7 OS includes a number of other pre-loaded applications and functionality.
Research In Motion announced about this handset in May this year, has a number of features including 2.
8" capacitive TFT touch screen display, QWERTY keyboard, touch-sensitive controls, optical trackpad, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate.
It has a 5-MP camera with the features including autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization and supports up to 720 pixels HD video recording. It also has 8-GB on-board memory, plus microSD slot supporting up to 32 GB cards.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone has other features including 1.2GHz processor, downloadable games, BlackBerry maps, digital compass, near field communication (NFC) technology, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1230 mAh removable, rechargeable battery, docs to go document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and PDF viewer.
