RIM launches BlackBerry Style 9670 for Indian CDMA customers
The BlackBerry Style 9670 features a new WebKit-based browser for a great browsing experience and the smartphone supports Dual Band CDMA/EVDO Rev A: CDMA 800; CDMA 1900. This phone has enhanced media player for music, pictures and videos.
THE MAKERS of BlackBerry Smartphone, Research In Motion (RIM) launched the BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone for CDMA customers in India on Monday. This flip phone with QWERTY keypad was launched in U.S last October 2010, support applications such as YouTube, BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
The BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone dimension is 96 x 60 x 18.5 mm and its weight is 131 g. Internal display of this phone is 360 x 400 pixels and external display is 240x320 pixel, which supports 65k colours. The phone has 5 MP Camera with auto focus for high quality video recording. It also has image stabilization, and 11 picture-taking modes.
The BlackBerry Style 9670 runs on BlackBerry OS 6.0, has a 512 MB flash memory, plus an 8GB microSD memory card that can be expended up to 32 GB of additional storage. This phone is equipped with Wi-Fi for faster connectivity and extended data coverage, Bluetooth, a built-in GPS for location-based apps and geo-tagging.
The BlackBerry Style 9670 support video formats such as H.263, MPEG4 Simple Profile 3, H.264, WMV and audio formats: MP3, AAC-LC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, AMR-NB, QCELP EVRC. This phone has built-in speaker phone and 3.5 mm stereo headset jack.
BlackBerry Style 9670 has 1150 mAHr removable/rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which support talk time up to 4.5 hours, standby time up to 10.5 days and music playback up to 14 hours.
