Rishi Kapoor lashes out at cartoonist for making a mockery of the RK Studios' fire incident
Barely days after a massive fire at the RK Studios destroyed memorabilia including the costumes of RK Films, a cartoon published in a Mumbai newspaper which made light this recent fire tragedy has created a fresh controversy.




The cartoon features RK Studios burning as Raj Kapoor says, "Fire is a good omen...In my life, it all started with Aag." The 1948 released Aag was Raj Kapoor's debut film as a director and producer as well. The movie was also the first to product from RK Studios.

Lashing out at a cartoonist, Rishi Kapoor expressed his sharp reaction over the controversial comic post calling it as "depraved sick humour".

Sharing the cartoon on his Twitter handle, the 65-year-old actor tweeted, "This is bad. We take objection to this kind of depraved sick humour."

On September 16, a portion of the Kapoor family's iconic RK Films And Studios, which was established by legendary Bollywood actor & director Raj Kapoor in Mumbai in 1948, had got engulfed in a major fire.

According to the fire officials, there was no crew present on the sets at the time the incident occurred, therefore no injuries were reported.

Hours after the fire tragedy, Rishi shared the details of the incident expressing his deep sorrow over it. He tweeted: "A studio can be built again but the loss of the irreplaceable memorabilia and costumes of all RK Films, is tragic for all. Fire took it away."

Not only Rishi, many Bollywood celebrities including Anupam Kher, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Boman Irani among others expressed their sadness after the fire incident took place at Mumbai's legendary studio.

RK Films, a film production house based in RK Studios, has produced many blockbuster movies such as Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Boot Polish (1954), Shri 420 (1955), Jaagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), Prem Rog (1982), Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985) among others.
