Rishi Kapoor to recount an amazing journey through autobiography

Hailing from the first family of films in India, people would be expecting a lot from Rishi Kapoor's autobiography. The book would be released next year.

RISHI KAPOOR belongs to a pioneer film family, and will soon publish his autobiography and release it next year. The actor who started at a very young age and became one of the first chocolate boys of Bollywood would recount his run of four decades and the changes that he witnessed throughout his film career.

The book, to be published by Harper Collins, is eagerly awaited and many say that it would be a fresh book on the Indian film industry. Grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor and second son of the legendary Raj Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor first appeared as a younger version of his father in the iconic film Mera Naam Joker in 1970. Thus began his filmi career and he went on to do 130 films. Right from a cute boy to a handsome hero to a disciplinarian dad, he has played it all, and is still essaying roles in reel life.

Best paired with his real life wife Nitu Singh, Rishi Kapoor's most successful films are with her. Films such as Kabhie Kabhie and Khel Khel Main, where the cute couple were paired together, were loved by the Indian audience. His other hits include Sagar, Nagin and Chandni. He won the National Film Award in 1971 for best child artist for "Mera Naam Joker", Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974 for "Bobby" and Filmfare Critics Award in 2011 for Best Actor for "Do Dooni Chaar".
