A BEVY OF international pop stars including Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Beyoncé Christina Aguilera, U2 vocalist Bono, Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt have come together for the cause of Haiti.
A global fund-raising event called Hope for Hati will see the who’s who of Hollywood perform for on January 22. Singers Alicia Keys and Sting will also be performing at the concert, Aceshowbiz reported. Songs performed by the artists will be sold as digital purchases and the all proceeds will go to the relief effort. The global telethon will be held on January 22.
George Clooney will host the Los Angeles-based concert, said sources. Rapper Wyclef Jean will report from New York while journalist Anderson Cooper will become a part of the event from Haiti. The concert will be aired by TV stations in a free broadcast. Robert Pattinson will be manning the phones at Friday's telethon for Haiti, joining Brad Pitt, Bill Clinton, Clint Eastwood, Jon Stewart, Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicole Kidman and Tom Hanks. The two-hour concert will begins at 8 pm EST and will be hosted by Wyclef Jean in New York, George Clooney in Los Angeles and CNN's Anderson Cooper in Haiti.
