Rotary Public School celebrates Teachers' Day
Usually Teachers' Day celebrations would be something highly formal but this time Rotary Public School in Gurgaon had something memorable to offer. The whole program was highly goal oriented and mainly aimed at providing the teachers with four whole hours of enjoyment with various activities. It was also aimed at relieving the worn out teachers from their monotonous routine and providing them with childly pleasures and enjoyment.

THE FOUR hours of enjoyment on the eve of Teachers' Day began sharply at 8 am in Rotary Public school where teachers and students interchanged their respective roles, and whole responsibility of tutoring was placed on the hands of the 'student teachers' of class XI and XII. As per school spokesperson they took this responsibility very well and made sure that this day will be the most memorable day for their mentors.

The student principal took charge of whole event and was ready to lead her team of warriors. The student teachers who were formally dressed were acting as teachers and were handing out tender, unblossomed, thorny rose flowers to their mentors. "The rose symbolized the rough and thorny outside and the sweet and tender inside of the students," a school press release informed.

All the classes from standard III to XI were engaged by the highly capable student teachers who had spent hours creating notes on the various topics to be taught and were preparing themselves to be able teachers. They were just showing that what they felt and how it feels to be a student and listening for hours sitting at one place. The student principal and the Vice-Principal were on rounds checking out each and every classroom and making sure that no class was left idle and with no activity.

In order to repay their debt of gratitude towards their mentor, this was the great gesture from the students and after the much enjoyable teaching hours they threw a real party. All the teachers were personally invited by the students for a small cultural function. The teachers, in the amphitheatre, were bowled over and impressed with a wide range of programs including catchy as well as classy dance numbers and melodious as well as sweet solo songs by the students, who were clearly saying "Thank you' to their teachers. While the party was going on the teachers were provided with mouth watering delicacies along with thirst quenching lemonades.

When the programme with the students got over, the teachers gathered in the A.V. Hall of the school where they had arranged a program for the Managing Committee, which included Chairman Mr PK Parnami, President of Rotary Club Mr Raman Parnami and Staff Welfare committee head Mr Ramesh Khurana were also present.

They all appreciated students for their efforts and supported them with their praises. The Music Dept. took the initiative and arranged for a dance and music show. The old classic numbers filled each heart with happy, soothing impressions. At the end the teachers were provided with a sumptuous lunch arranged by the management.

"In all, the entire program was a huge success and had turned out to be one which would remain in our hearts till the end of times" school press release added.
