On the eve of 64th Republic Day celebrations, functions were held in many school of the city. Rotary Public School, Sector 22, Gurgaon celebrated 64th Republic Day with its enthusiastic students who performed, danced and sang patriotic songs.
"In order to arouse the patriotic fervour among the students and to remind them of the selfless sacrifices of our great leaders, Rotary Public School celebrated the 64th Republic Day in school,” the spokes person of the school told this citizen journalist .
Donning casual dresses, many students reached school premises early in the chilli morning on 25th January and did dress rehearsal of all the performances, which they were practising from last few weeks. Students of class 5-6 standards sung solo patriotic songs and some group songs were performed on the occasion. On the eve Principal Miss Gulshan Dewan delivered the opening address.
"The celebrations started by hoisting the National Flag and singing of the National Anthem. Patriotic group songs and duets were sung to mark the day. Miss Dewan encouraged the students by motivating them to be true Indians. Each and every item was appreciated and left a scintillating mark of its own," the spokesperson added.
