All India Sikh Students Federation – an organization committed for the welfare of students, have obtained some important information under RTI Act related to the Govt. Girls College, Jalalabad in Fazilka district of Punjab. The college has not been recognised by the Punjab university, even after a lapse of a year.
Paramjit Singh Dhaban, former National Vice President, AISF said at
Swantatr Bhawan at a press conference, during the last year about 159
students have taken the admission in the college but even after one
year, the college has not been granted recognition given recognition
by the Punjab University.
Dhaban said that
the Principal of the college has revealed during the information
obtained under RTI that the admission of the students have been
carried out as per government instructions and classes were also
accordingly started. Even at the time, filling of examination
forms were sent officially but the college was not given recognition.
He further said, there is a great resentment among the students of

persons, Luvpreet Kaur Dhaban Senior Vice President and Kulwinder
Singh said, a flag march will be started by the Federation led by
rural area organizations, against the anti-students policy of the
government and intensify their agitation by burning the effigies of
Sikandar Singh Malooka, Education Minister, Arun Grover, VC Punjab
University to register their protest for playing with the future of
