Ruchika molestation case, Haryana govt recommends CBI probe
The fire in the horrible 19 year old Ruchika Girhotra molestation case involving former DGP Rathore is refusing to extinguish. With every passing day case is taking new twist augmenting fresh troubles for the once influential former IPS officer Rathore and tightening law grip around his neck.

In a new development government of Haryana had recommended central government to handover the Ruchika molestation case to central investigation agency-CBI. Rathore had been found guilty and convicted in the sensational Ruchika Girhotra case that happened in the year 1990. Compounding his woes, three more fresh FIR’s have been lodged against him, including abetment to suicide and attempt to murder.

Earlier central government also recommended stripping of his police medal bestowed in the year 1985 for exemplary police service. Rathore was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment by a CBI court some time back as he was found guilty of molesting 14 year old Ruchika Girhotra.

Whatever has been done for bringing Rathore to legal net is definitely commendable but it is just a drop in the ocean-there are hundreds of women who are not lucky like Ruchika.
