Welsh left winger Ryan Giggs got a year extention with football team Manchester United on Friday. He has been playing with the team since 1990.

WELSH LEFT winger Ryan Giggs has signed a one year contract extension with Manchester United and prolonged his stay with the football team beyond the 20 year limit, according to an announcement by Manchester United on Friday, December 16.

The 36 year old left winger Ryan Giggs had donned the red jersey of Manchester United in 1990 and has come onto the field with it about 800 times. Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said,"Ryan deserves a new contract and I am sure that he will play for another two years. His form is fantastic at the moment and he is playing some of his best football."

The Wales hope Ryan Giggs got the title of Professional Footballer's Association Top player in April. He was also made named the BBC's Sports Personality of 2009.
