Ryan International School, Gurgaon grabs second position in martial art competition
Students of Ryan International School, Gurgaon who call themselves as Ryanites, grabbed second position with five gold medals, six silver medals and six bronze individually in a martial art competition organized by the Delhi Karate Association of India (DKAI). The event in it's 5th year organized a Delhi State Inter School Karate Championship 2014 where several schools marked their attendance to compete with each other.
700 students from 32 schools from Delhi and NCR actively participated in the esteemed championship. Ryan International School, Sector- 40, Gurgaon had sent 72 students from classes Montessori to IV where kids were exposed to the martial arts and its importance in daily life.

The school headmistress, Peeya Sharma encouraged and motivated the students to keep the flags of the school high. She inspired them to follow Chairman Sir Dr. AF Pinto's vision of developing their sports skill and make the country proud some day.

Thakaran, Vivaan Boby Sebastian, Arshiya Kapoor, Sharmishta Bathwal and Adhiraj Jamwal won five gold medals. Six silver medals were won by Manya Aggarwal, Chirag Shokeen, Muskan Yadav, Hemang Yadav, Nikhil Pandey and Siddharth Gupta . The Ryanites, Ashish Kumar Pradhan, Pragey Verma, Aryan Kapoor, Devansh Kaushik, Divyank Malhan and Utpal Luthra (V D) also won a bronze medal each. The Karate winners were felicitated by Col. Naveen Singh, Vir Chakra Awardee during a glittering ceremony.
