COME NOVEMBER 9, Sab TV’s new show, Sab Ka Evening Show, will go on air. The show on the channel, that has for years been tickling its viewer’s funny bone, will be a weekend show for one and a half hour. The new show will be slightly different from the other shows on the channel so far. This show will be widening the comic platform, by presenting a series of short films by renowned directors, most of whom have an established name in the genre for which Sab is know, mainly comedy.

The channel that has carved its own name and space amongst other GEC channels, that strive on mostly either drama or high profile reality shows, but Sab has always had a leading hand in the genre of comedy. Its shows such as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, F.I.R., Lapataganj and others, have helped the channel in climbing the TRP scales.

Some of the known names that will be a part of the new show are J.D. Majethia, Ravi Rai, Vipul D Shah and others. Oye Bunty Babloo Oye, Gadi Bula Rahi Hai, Kya Hoga Is Desh Ka, are some such short films that will be entertaining the viewers. The films are based on day to day life issues with a comic touch. They will be good option for those particular viewers for whom regular Television viewing is not much of an option. These shorts will be a good platform for not just the viewers but also for the talented directors, who wish to entertain the audience with their comedy style.

In an interview, SAB TV’s Business Head Anooj Kapoor said, “I am honored to have such a great show. I know the short films are nothing when compared to Bollywood films, but when it comes to content even an ad film works.”
