Salute to the greatest cricketer of all times to reach yet another milestone in his illustrious career of 21 years and still counting strong as ever. God knows how many more records will fall flat before this cricketing jauggernaut calls it quits.

SUPERSPORT PARK, Centurion went down in history books for being the venue where master blaster Sachin Tendulkar eclipsed another milestone by becoming the first batsman to score fifty centuries in any forn of international cricket. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar on Sunday became the first batsman. to reach this landmark on the fourth day of the first Test against South Africa.

As soon as the little master from Mumbai darted off for a single of Dale Steyn’s delivery, the cricket lovers across the world went in frenzy. Sachin, who already holds the record of being the highest run aggregator also tops the list in the number of centuries scored by any cricketer in both test matches and ODIs.

The year 2010 has witnessed the sublime form of the master with willow as he amassed more than 15, 000 runs with the help of seven centuries and five fifties at a staggering average of 85 runs per innings. Sachin has more than 14,500 runs against his name with 50 centuries and 59 fifties.

The Indian team which has been reeling under pressure to save the test match against the host South Africa team, could not have expected anything better from the master. While the other batsmen gave away the opportunities in the second innings after good starts, the master blaster showed his mental prowess and class to almost bail out the team from a precarious situation.

Tendulkar stood rock solid and got good support from captain MS Dhoni, who batted with ease and command before Dhoni being dismissed on 90 runs which once again opened the flood gates with Harbhajan Singh soon following back into the pavilion.

Today Sachin created a world record after completing his 50th century which cannot be achieved by any player in the cricket world. I heartily congratulate him.
