Sachin is not against DRS, wants consistency
Sachin Tendulkar, one of the most respected cricketers in the world said he is not against the DRS. He feels that the system needs to be consistent. BCCI has not approved of using DRS in the..
THE INDIAN maestro, Sachin Tendulkar is not against the DRS (Decision Review System), but he feels there should be more consistency in the technology used for DRS. Tendulkar is not someone who speaks up against anything but when he does so; the whole world sits up and wants to hear what he has to say. It is the respect that people have for him around the world, which makes the world listen to his statement and think about it.

All the news about DRS has come to the forefront after BCCI rejected the use of DRS system in the upcoming England tour. The English players are regularly saying that India is afraid of using the DRS, so they are not using it for the England tour. The BCCI have never supported the DRS. The BCCI has even sent a letter to the ICC stating that DRS inadequacy has been reflected in the World Cup 2011.

Most people across India have been thinking that it was due to the senior players that BBCI has not accepted the DRS. But, the tables turned around when Sachin Tendulkar, the senior most player of the Indian team, said that he was not against the system. Some media reports suggest that the BCCI said that they have not changed their stance on the DRS system and the players view on the DRS does not matter.

Sachin Tendulkar wants the use of a snickometer and hot spot technology, which would prove to be effective and provide fair results. India is the only Test playing nation, which mostly opposes the use of DRS system. The question which assumes importance is, for how long can they reject the use of DRS?
