Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has revealed that thee mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed is, in fact, not under house arrest, rather his movements are being strictly watched over and restricted.
A FEW days ago, Pakistan made it public that the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed had been put under house arrest. The news came in the wake of increasing international pressure that Pakistan was tolerating to take action against those incarcerated for the attacks.
But in a recent interview, the Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has revealed that the terrorist is, in fact, not under house arrest, just that his movements are being strictly watched over and restricted.
Qureshi has made a public statement saying that India will be informed about the actions taken against Saeed on Sunday (September 27).
The Indian Foreign Minister S M Krishna and Qureshi have a scheduled meeting while the United Nations General Assembly is still on. The Foreign Secretaries of both that countries had just met, after the prime ministers of the nations had had a talk and Prime Minister Manohan Singh had made it very clear that unless Pakistan decides to take some immediate steps against the culprits of Mumbai terror attacks, there would be no further dialogue between the two countries.
