Saina Nehwal battled for an hour and 11 minutes against 20-year-old Chinese opponent witnessed long rallies, power-packed cross court smashes. After losing first game by 15-21, the Indian badminton "Princess" (according to me) never gave any chance to her rival in the next two games and won by 21-16, 21-17.
A JubilIant Saina told the news channels that it was really important for her to win the Hong Kong Open after the Asian Games where she failed to make a mark. She had lost against the same rival Shixian Wang in the World Championship quarterfinal in their first meeting earlier this year.
It was the fifth crown this year for the world no. 4 women's badminton player Saina Nehwal, who won titles including Indian Open Grand Prix, Singapore Open Super Series, defended the Indonesian Super Series, won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi.
