Sakshi Malik's coach got a raw deal after being handed over a photocopied cheque of Rs 10 lakh
It's been more than a month since a felicitation function was held at Bahadurgarh in Haryana, where India's Rio Olympics wrestling bronze medalist Sakshi Malik and her coach Kuldeep Malik were honoured for making the country proud.

Shockingly, Sakshi's coach, Kuldeep, who is a chief ticket inspector for Northern Railway was handed over a photocopy of a Rs 10 lakh cheque at the function. Although more than a month has passed since then, the India women freestyle coach is yet to receive the real money.

Kuldeep has been running from pillar to post for demanding what is rightfully his. In the past one month, he has approached the Haryana government and the Railway Sports Promotion Board, but all in vain.

Moreover, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, who had promised a promotion to Kuldeep on August 29, the day Sakshi was awarded the Khel Ratna, also did not keep his word, Kuldeep reveals.

It was under Kuldeep's guidance and training that Sakshi had managed to win a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics in the 58 kg women's freestyle wrestling event.
