The next big name in the already star studded IPL could that be of Samlam Khan. Salman has shown interst in owning an IPL team, the actor met Lalit Modi to discuss the possibility of buying one of the two news teams which will be added to IPL 2011.
COUNTRY'S LEADING actor Salman Khan is keen to own an Indian Premeir League (IPL) team in future. Salman who has enthralled movie lovers with his superb acting and dance moves had met IPL chairman Lalit Modi in Mumbai recently and showed his interest to buy a team.
IPL which currently has eight teams will introduce two more teams in the year 2011. With Salman entering IPL, it will pave the way for another Bollywood heart throb with IPL team. Leading actress Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty are already in the business, Preity Zinta is associated with King’s Eleven Punjab with her boy friend Ness Wadia right from the inaugural season of 2008, while svelte and enticing Shilpa joined the race this year only by buying stake in Shane Warne led Rajasthan Royals team.
King Khan Shahrukh is the owner of Kolkata Kinght Riders, which has many big national and international names but his team has performed dismally in both the editions. Owing to miserable 2009 performance, he was left with no option but to fire internationally acknowledged cricket coach John Bucchanan of Australia. According to the grapevine, he is in the process of hiring new coach for his disgraced Kolkata Knight Riders team, some of the names doing the round are former Indian coach and New Zealand captain John Wright and ace Pakistani left arm pace bowler Wasim Akram.
Well Salman, lets hope your team will not meet the fate of Kolkata Knight Riders.
