Today's released film Salt was directed by Phillip Noyce, a veteran of spy thrillers, who also directed "Patriot Games," "Clear and Present Danger," and "The Saint." Film is based on a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer.

Salt is the story of Evelyn Salt, trained C.I.A. agent. She's an expert in everything under the sun, from martial arts to electronics, a lethal killing machine recently accused of being a double agent. The whole action begins when an old Soviet agent happens to drop by and announce that there are Russian nationals infiltrated in the CIA agencies who have a very efficient and mean plan.

Angelina Jolie's Salt is a short movie (100 minutes), rated PG-13 "for intense sequences of violence and action." In this film Angelina established herself once again as the queen of action. Angelina Jolie, the 35-year-old actress hurt herself for a scene which involved her rolling onto the floor when she bashed into a desk. Salt is being considered as year's one of the better action films.
