SAMAJWADI PARTY ’s Rajya Sabha MP and youth wing chief Kamal Akhter said at a party programme organised to oppose the policies of the BSP government in Amroha, "Mayawati government has failed on every front. There is no development in the state and the politics is only based on prejudices".

"See what she has done in her present tenure? All the development work has come to a halt. We were charged of providing shelter to the criminals now what she has done? Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has turned to be the best shelter for political criminals", he said. "She has DP Yadav, Umakant Yadav, Ramakant Yadav and now Mukhtar Ansari in her fold and she claims a ’Bhay mukt samaj’ ", he added.

"She can claim only one revolutionary change to be credited to her government. Previously, governments were charged of collecting monthly illicit money from their officials from the backdoor but, it is open now. She asks for ’hafta’. Bureaucracy is no more than a money collecting system for herself and her party. Those who fail to abide by her line are thrown out and dumped among the reserves", said Kamal.

The administration has failed. The officials are being rewarded for their sectarian identity and their ability to earn more and more for her.
